We provide horseshoeing services to a vast array of horse breeds and riding disciplines. We regularly work with Ropers, Barrel Racers, Cutters, Reiners, Bulldoggers, Dressage, Eventing, Hunter Jumpers, English, Western Pleasure, and Recreational horses.
We provide services to the Northern Colorado Front Range. This area is roughly from Brighton in the South to the Wyoming border in the North. And from Loveland and Ft. Collins in the West to the far east side of Weld county. Most of our business is centered around Weld and Larimer counties. If you are at the edge of these areas or out of these areas, we will have to decide on a case by case basis, if we are willing to take you on as a client. We are based out of the area North East of Greeley.
Because of fuel cost, travel times and because we want to remain available to our clients we try to stay with in these areas. An example why, is if a client lives fifty miles away, and their horse pulls a shoe, how will I be able to get the shoe put back on in a timely manner? If a horse pulls a shoe I want to be able to reset the shoe as soon as possible. That way the client will have little down time with their training or riding. Plus, the shoe is generally there for protection and if it is missing, the horse's hoof could break and crack.
I carry a full line of pads and shoes in my horseshoeing truck. I generally will have all the supplies with me for about any horse. If you have a special need and know it, please let me know ahead of time. I can hot fit your horse if you desire, or I can just cold fit them and nail them on. It is all up to you.
If you have a lame horse, I will work with you and your veterinarian, to rehabilitate your horse. Over the years I have worked with many different veterinarians. Having a veterinarian and a farrier work together can help get to the root of a problem many times quicker than one or the other alone. If you have a sound horse I will work with you to keep your horse sound. I will generally shoe your horse just as you like. Unless, I think it will cause harm to your horse. If you are an unexperienced horse owner, I will work with you. Hopefully, this will help you to be better educated about your horse's hooves.
People often say "No hoof No horse". I know it sounds like a horseshoer trying to make money, but its true. A million dollar race horse with no hoof can't run. But, I will give you my opinion of what the best course of action with be with your particular horse. I won't lie to you and tell you a horse is fixable if I don't believe it is. I won't tell you that you have to shoe your horse, if your horse does not need to be shod. I will only do what you want to do.
